Since our establishment in 2018, we’ve pioneered change, providing robust advocacy, economic empowerment, and essential health services.
Advocacy- Gender Diversity and Inclusion
• Education on gender and sexual diversity for healthcare providers, county officials, CSOs, boda boda riders, community leaders, police, and media to combat stigma and discrimination.
• Training partners to understand, prevent, and respond to violence affecting LBQ individuals.
• Hosting inclusive Feminist Forums for intergenerational conversations on topics like women in leadership and politics.
Comprehensive Healthcare
• Mental health counseling.
• Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) services, including access to preventive items like condoms, dental dams, and lubricants. We also provide referrals, support groups for LBQ womxn living with HIV.
• Dissemination of information on gender, sexuality, and rights to reduce stigma and improve access to comprehensive healthcare.
Safety and Protection
• Violence prevention forums engaging community leaders, police, boda boda riders, and local media to advocate for zero tolerance for violence against LBQ womxn.
• Seeking justice for survivors of violence, providing mental therapy, safety mechanisms, and documenting violence to address the specific needs of LBQ women.
